What information does WHOIS show?

Why does WHOIS show "Redacted for Privacy"?
Since GDPR came into effect in 2018, most registrars automatically hide personal contact information from public WHOIS databases. The registrar's own contact details replace the individual's information.
How do I check if a domain is expiring soon?
Look at the "Registry Expiry Date" field in the WHOIS output. If it's within a few months, the owner needs to renew it or it will become available for others to register.
